Arthur Edmond Mason died during the first week of WWII on the 9th September, 1939 at Victoria Street, Ashfield and is buried at Rookwood cemetery in Section M2 15, Row 21, Grave 1854 RC.

A note on Mary Mason Sheridan by Robyn Mason, 17 August 2015

Mary Mason was inadvertently involved in the murder of two wealthy landowners in Cashel in 1838. She knowingly washed the murderers' shirts which was covered in blood. The Magistrate cleared her and sent her to Australia in 1839 arriving on the China.

Second last line on page 164 of The Mason Story should read 'Frank Victor Hammond b. 1906 and d. 1946 Redfern, NSW DC. 21408/1946'

Page 11, in the last sentence of the second paragraph from the bottom of the page, 'levies' should read 'levees'

Page 22, the first sentence of the fourth paragraph from the top should read 'Mary (Hickey) Mason bore John four children, and died at only 33, on 21 Jun 1860 (Dunmore Landsale records) when they were still living at Dunmore at that stage.'

Page 24, the last sentence of the second paragraph from the top should read 'According to family lore, she was an alcoholic in her later years and when her son Oliver Peter Mason (her carer) left her to go on his honeymoon, she promptly drank herself to death.'

Page 30, in the third column of the table at the bottom of the page, the father's name should read 'Dennis M'

Page 91, in the caption to the photo, Maude Bailey's mother's name should read 'Ann Euphemia (Arrow) Bailey’
